The exact terms are as follows : "A white woman whose sexual relations
with a coloured man (uomo di colore) have been over for years can,
nonetheless, in union with a white man give birth to a black child
(figlio)", to a cut a long story short through subconscious influences
(translated from : 'Sintesi di dottrina della razza', Edizioni di Ar,
1994, p.85).

That statement, which is found in the chapter called 'Possono nascere
razze nuove?' ('Can new races be born?'), does not refer in any way to
the concept of race of the soul, nor does Evola mean, still in that
context, that "relations w/a black man and thereby potentially produce
future offspring also w/a 'black soul'? Let's never lose sight of the
fact that, just like there is a race of the spirit and a race of the
soul, there is also a race of the body, which, even though it is
subordinate to the two others, has its importance in the racial theory
brought forward by Evola.

It's not the first time that it is found "hard to be believe someone as
intelligent as Evola would put forward"... Yet, here as in other cases,
it is not a matter of intelligence, a quality which, to Evola, was not
as essential as character in the classical sense. The fact is that a
white couple can give birth to a coloured child, 'genetic throwbacks'
are not unheard of, and that 'limit' case' of telegenesis ('birth at a
distance') is studied by genetics. For that biological quirk to happen,
one of the parents only have to have one coloured ancestor, and
recessive genes do the rest.

What's the title of that essay by Sheehan?

To the best of our knowledge, Evola didn't elaborate on what he meant by a 'complex' in this respect ; he didn't go deeper into the concept of 'maternal...
