As for the motivations for translating and publishing "Il Cammino" it is simply part of our continuing endeavour to make Evola available to the English readers of the world. The autobiography of Evola is in our opinion one of the most important books by Evola that yet has to be published in English. As for subtitles none have been given at this moment, and no pompous subtitle is currently planned.
I would like to take the opportunity to ask readers of this forum if there is any suggestions or wishes for future publications of Evola in English. Which book by Evola do you most look forward to see published and why? Good answers will be taken into consideration when the next book by Evola is to be translated.
Subject: [evola_as_he_is] New book by Evola announced
Perhaps you could let us know what prompted you to have it translated and to publish it.
None of the works published by Evola in what he called his "speculative period" (1925-1929), whether his books or his essays and articles, have been published in English yet, and this may be what causes many readers to be interested in them. That's why, a few months ago, we endeavoured to translate the third chapter of 'Il cammino del cinabro' ('The Road of Cinnabar'), which deals precisely with 'The speculative period, magical idealism and the theory of the Absolute Individual'. Needless to say, it is the best introduction to these works.
The site will be updated with this third chapter of 'The Road of Cinnabar' before the end of this year. We are pleased that this work is finally going to be published in English. Let us just express the wish that we will be spared the pompous subtitle which most non Italian publishers in the past twenty years have had the bad habit to add to the laconic title of his books.
