The accusations below are so incorrect, it is difficult to believe
they are a result of an honest misunderstanding.
First of all, it did not “just” come to the moderator’s
attention; in point of fact I informed him of my intentions in August, 2007.
The web page was created, along with the anticipated publication date, at that
time in full public view. It is no “deliberate” attempt at undermining
anything. It is simply a continuation of my own project that was sidetracked in
July.
Anyone who has belonged to this list will know who the Englishman
is and how all this started. It is a rather strange claim that the initial effort
made by the Englishman and the moderator was “filled with mistranslations
and rough guesses,” yet the same duo has still managed to create a “decent
English translation.”
The Gornahoor edition is far from that “rough draft”. It
represents several hundred hours of effort that I did not believe should be
casually discarded.
Unlike the duo, I actually get paid for translation work. Of my
most recent translation (from French), the editor wrote this back to me:
“Exquisite translation--insofar as I can judge. The style is lovely
and the content most welcome.”

Subject: [evola_as_he_is] 'Heathen Imperialism'
In the meantime, it has come to our attention that this individual may
publish soon a translation of 'Heathen Imperialism' on
http://www.gornahoor.net/PaganImperialism/PaganImperialism.htm,
followed by a print edition, in a deliberate attempt to go under our
own publication of 'Heathen Imperialism'. In fact, the text that this
individual is about to publish is nothing but the rough draft of the
text which we will be publishing on the 23rd of this month. It is
filled with mistranslations and rough guesses. That is why, a few
months ago, we ended up deciding not to publish it and to have it
proofread and corrected by the Englishman who translated 'Indirizzi
per una educazione razziale' and 'Tre aspetti del problema ebraico',
an Englishman who does not share Evola's views, who does not even
share ours, but whose English is, to say the least, up to the task -
before publishing it as it should be published, that is, in a decent
English translation, in an English translation worth of the name.
Needless to say that this attempt has nothing to do with resentment
and is not motivated by 'egoism' in the broadest sense of the
word : it's all well known, traditionalists have no 'ego' whatsoever.
Had this individual told us that he was craving to publish his own
translation of 'Heidnischer Imperialismus'
says
that what it offers or will be offering soon is a "Translation of
Julius Evola's Imperialismo Pagano". This is untrue. It is actually a
translation of 'Heidnischer Imperialismus', a text which is very
different from 'Imperialismo pagano'), had this individual had the
courtesy to let us know about his intention to publish his own
translation of 'Heidnischer Imperialismus', we would have made do with
warning people about the poor quality of that translation of his.
