Continuing further the theme of red – there is an uncanny similarity between certain descriptions of Cernunnos and that of Pashupati. Pashupati being possibly linked to Rudra the ‘Ruddy’ (if non Aryan origins are dismissed).

They are not the only images of the two gods that are similar either.

Considering that Pashupati is thought to be pre-Aryan due to his presence in the archaeology of the supposedly Dravidian Indus, why the similarity?

If you look at Taranis the thunder-god with the eight-spokes of his
time-wheel (?) and compared with the Gallic Cernunnos who is covered
with a serpent (Kundalini perhaps?), then relate that to the cognate

Also in relation to the Druids whose deity was Cernunnos were
thought to a symptom of a higher civilisation in decline…. The
Romans apparently had no used of the Druids either.

possessed, a savage "past."

As on a linch-pin, firm, rest things immortal:
He who hath known it, let him here declare it.
