- I have a simple question I was wondering if anybody could inform me about. As I was reading Negrified America I came across the reference to "Roots" a radio drama Evola said the Italians were being subjected to. The editor's note relates it to Alex Haley's "Roots". The only problem is that would be anachronistic since Haley's book wasn't published until 1976. Does anybody know what Evola could have been referring to?
- Thank you for pointing this out. This is a mistake which shall be corrected in due course.
It refers most likely to the radio adaptation an Italian film of 1957, "Profonde sono le radici".
See: http://www.mymovies.it/dizionario/recensione.asp?id=52402 for further details.
The description of the film is as follows:
"A young black man who fought valiantly during World War II returns to his hometown in the deep south, where he is falsely accused of theft and nearly lynched."
