Re: [evola_as_he_is] Re: Men Among the Ruins - online version
Greetings
I am a book-publisher and I am currently working on publishing Julius Evolas: "Metaphysics of War" (www.integraltradition.com).
Your comments about one being "jewish" for taking money for something that actually has a cost is simply outright ignorant. We have paid money for the translation, we will have to pay money for the printing, and will also pay for layout, graphics and a lot of other things. Further to that we have spent many working days on releasing this book. We are lucky if we even get our initial costs refunded through our sales. People like you are actually a hindrance for more books by Evola being distributed and published. The more money generated from this publication, the more books we will be able to translate and print. If you continue "getting the information out there for the people" by scanning and uploading Evola-books for free you will end up having no new publications to scan. We do this out of love and compassion for an idea and for an author - with no "Jewish"-intents whatsoever. Go scan some Harry Potter or Salman Rushdie, instead of sabotaging decent work to publish good and decent books by interesting and controversial authors.

It's pretty scary in fact, how zealous librarians are about that stuff. There is certainly a list of "banned" books somewhere, even if you can't get them to admit to it. I request books sometimes that I know they'll never put on the shelf, and they give me back the most absurd excuses for not buying them.
I see your point about the Evola books being current. -- If you can find them, that is. I certainly don't think they're at your local bookstore. I was rather shocked to find "Revolt Against the Modern World" in the Sunnyvale library. It's sitting now in front of me on the desk, soon to be in electronic form.
I think people should have access to this kind of information. Whether or not it means somebody is going to lose a few bucks. Which I don't think it really does. People who have money tend to buy the books. They prefer something with a cover to a big sheaf of loose paper. But the people who are on a limited budget are just not going to get a chance to read this stuff at all unless they can get a free -- or relatively free -- copy. And that's why I format the books to print in as few pages as possible. I'm concerned with getting the information out there for people who would otherwise not have access to it. It's rather a -- dare I say it -- jewish way of thinking to put profit ahead of knowledge.

> You are right, some rare books out of print and no longer available in bookshops have been stolen from bookshelves of libraries, including, naturally, of public libraries. State employees in a democracy can be rather zealous when it comes to performing certain tasks. These are also carried out by other lackeys in second-hand books market across Western capitals.
If anybody would like to help me with this, I’d really appreciate it. I am new to the group and to Evola. Better late than never, as they say. If you take...
