Following on from 'The Race of the Fleeing Man', and continuing in the same vein, we present a further article from 'L'Arco e la Clava' - 'Negrified America'. If J. Evola, in that first essay, did not see fit to explicitly elaborate on the "modification of the general atmosphere", one which would "provoke a veritable alteration of the psychic structure", some of the other essays in that anthology leave no doubt as to where some of the major contributing factors of this modification arise from.

In order to fully appreciate the correlation between 'inner form', or the lack thereof, and the races of the soul and spirit, we invite the reader to consult the chapter on 'The Importance of the Theory of Inner Races' from 'The Elements of Racial Education'. - "The theory of inner race is important because it brings the most pernicious aspect of cross-breeding and hybridism to light: they lead to an inner laceration and contradiction, to a rupture of the inner unity of a human being of a given race." In that respect alone, we can label the Race of the Fleeing Man as being best represented by Homo Americanus.

Beyond the topical aspect of 'Negrified America', let us recall some of the salient points made by J. Evola in 'The Elements of Racial Education':

"When does the famous 'humanity' really exist? When, from a well articulated world, we go back to a chaotic, collectivist, promiscuous world, thinkable only as the final and dreadful station of a process of disintegration and of social and spiritual levelingÂ… In the racist vision of life, on the contrary, any difference - even corporeal - is symbolic: the inside manifests itself in the outside, what is external is symbol, sign and symptom of something internal." Keeping this in mind, Evola's remarks concerning a black president of the United States are as equally applicable to Bill Clinton, once called "America's First Black President", as they are to the present incumbent.

Furthermore, as some group members have correctly noted in the thread dedicated to the previous article, music has played an important role in the continuing debilitation of the younger generations especially. In 'Negrified America', Evola also examines the topic of 'popular music' and its Negro origins, among other aspects of contemporary mass media which have a dissolving effect. This will be dealt with in greater detail in future planned translations.

Thus, the stultifying effects of this 'americanisation' spread throughout the rest of the world, thanks to the mass media, whose origins and guiding lights are well known, as well as to education, since the so-called 'values' represented and upheld by the US are also exported and imposed upon European countries, not to mention the kind of public policy' advocated by the political schemers in power. [To give some examples, in the case of Great Britain, education is now almost completely in the hands of the distorter: http://www.telegraph.co.uk/education/educationnews/8760676/Children-as-young-as-four-reprimanded-for-racist-behaviour.html
and so is public policy, notably where immigration is concerned; one of those responsible had the effrontery to admit as much recently: http://www.britainfirst.org/news/peter-mandelson-labour-sent-out-search-parties-to-encourage-more-immigrants/
] In this way, European countries are under a doubly negative influence: not only are they being gradually 'americanised' they are also undergoing the same processes which have made America 'American' in the first instance.

A lengthy note concerning Evola's 'bookish idealisation of certain coloured peoples' has been appended to this essay. To this, we may add that, from the Middle East to the Far East, the "tendency to mistake bigness for greatness" is widespread, and it is debatable if it were ever absent in the first place, contrary to the assertions of R. Guénon. Anecdotally, the race to build to the world's tallest building, for instance, seems to be a major preoccupation of the Arabs and the Chinese.
