Ancient Egyptians called Sirius S-p-t (Sept, they did not write the vowels) relating it to a warlike goddess, Satit the she-archer. Greeks translated it into Sothis, that Crowley & Grant read as Set + Isis,
It's obvious that the cult of the star-spangled night could not be solar, probably coming from ancient nomads habits. We see astronomy/astrology apparently introduced by Semitic peoples (Chaldeans and Assyrians) into the Mediterranean area, but also by Egyptians, pre-Aryan India, and present near the red races of the central and southern America too.
The club of Hercules provided to restore a more clear vision of the sky, taking possession of the light girdle of the Amazon Queen and turning it into the solar Zodiac. This does not mean that before the return of the solar, Olympic consciousness the Cosmos was without law and order, but for a while these words had another significance, approving human sacrifices, sense of the hive granting no importance to the single, and, by the way, according to the male only a role of fertilizer drowned in a magic, mysterious nature.
I do not know well the space cults you quote, but we had a curious phenomenon of New Age 'ante litteram' in 1929, when Katherine Maltwood, from aerial photos, "discovered" on the ground the alignments of the famous Glastonbury Zodiac, that, according to some esoteric genius, dated back to 5000 B.C., Zodiac existing probably only in some dizzy brain, also because even the solar-lunar temple of Stonehenge dates back to 3500 B.C.

Also when speaks of `Solar' no doubt we aren't referring to what is
life denying. Here a nefarious `Solar' cult is brought to mind on a
one way trip to Sirius, which was eclipsed in the media by another
outer-space cult that circled around particular Hale-Bopp comet.
Sirius the 'Dog Star' is of course a short cut to say Satan or Sut.
This is of course is, far from the Solar, unless one's predilection is
that of a mystical Gnostic nature.
