Fiction book on Evola: Ein Tag im Leben des Julius Evola Topic List < Prev Topic | Next Topic >

translation: Ein Tag im Leben des Julius Evola

I fully agree with the list owner in his statment
about the authorship of this book. It is sad that
regin-verlag publishes such nonsense.
Here the trastation for all who dont speak german.

Julius Evola, the great italian philosopher, sits in
his obscured [sic!] flat at Corso Vittorio Emanuele,
plagued by his age and his sickness. His neurotic
housekeeper (female) tyrannises him [sic!!!]. To find
the "point" that makes explainable his actual
condition, he eats his mysterious chockolade
[sic!!!!!]. Pictures of his eventful life appear:
Dada, dates with wemen [sic!]„Satan's
priestesse" Maria Naglowska, Rites in a Mithraeum,
meeting with Fellini, Graf Dürckheim, Mussolini and
with „evelomaniac" [???]students. Commemoration
interbreeds with the present. The situation in his
flat comes to a head [wow!].
The author displays his know-how not only about the
symptoms of paraplegia [wow!!!], but also about the
details of Evola's life til the ambiente of Romes
20'ths. The report is only [read: nothing but] a
fictive story, but it evokes Evola's myth with a
oppressive forcefulness [sic!].
The fate of a crushed hero with a background of an
antique tragedy."

No further comments are necessary, I hope.

I completely agree. Mythologization is not the approriate word here indeed: 'sensationalization', that's what this book is about. The sentence the list owner...
