Evola and the mutable beings   Topic List   < Prev Topic  |  Next Topic >

Philippe Baillet, the main translator of Evola into French, quotes the sentences below in an article boosted to a tiny booklet, apparently with a curious self-gratification.
Here is Coomaraswamy regarding the "Promethean spirit" of Evola: "It is a concession just to that 'modern world' against which he turns his polemics".
Again: "The Priest is male compared to the King, and the King is male compared to the kingdom" and also: "The role of the king and of the woman is specifically the administration: the first administrates the kingdom and the second the home" ('Autorité Spirituelle et Pouvoir Temporel dans la perspective indienne du gouvernement', Archè, Milano 1985).
Here is Guénon from his almost homonymous book: "The Bhramana is the prototype of the stable beings, while the Kshatriya the one of the mutable beings"; and so on.

It seems to me, considering the collated quotations, that mutable has been mostly the mind of Monsieur Baillet, as years go by.
