Re: [evola_as_he_is] A nightmare? (was: Evola and Buddhism)

It is possible Templars derived some knowledge from the acolytes of the famous Fortress of Alamut.

There is a vague hypothesis of a secret branch practising tantrism together with feminine elements (the so called "equitissae"). Related to this, is one of the several interpretations of the word Baphomet: from the Egyptian Ba-met-ef, turned by metathesis into Ba-fe-met, this is the Ba of the Met, the soul or the subtle part of the seed (a trial to anticipate a magical or mediumistic "return of the king"?); but now do not ask me which is exactly the relation between Ismailis, Egypt and Holy Land.

In Florence (Palazzo Vecchio), there is a curious painting by Orcagna in which a Templar escapes taking away the Baphomet, a head with long hairs recalling the sindon (see enclosed detail).

I'm glad to hear this scholarly confirmation of the most logical solution to the 'Baphomet' riddle, namely that the name is a corrupt form of 'Mahomet'. Your...
